To make a playlist QuickTime are able to use, its filename must use the .QTL extension. After you've named the file, click save. Now you'll be able to open the file and observe the two movies on your list; just don't expect a flowing continuity through the first file to the second.

This example assumes both movies are situated at the root of the C: drive. Make the necessary adjustments keeping at heart that the next movie on the list appears higher than the first. Then, in notepad, go towards the file menu, select save as, name your file like the .qtl extension, and ensure to select 'All Files (*.*)' from the 'Save as Type' dropdown menu. The resulting file should appear while using QuickTime icon instead from the Notepad icon.
